My Short Thoughts

Had challenges last week getting back into my exercise routine. Actually, I have been out of my normal exercise routine all summer. Everyone knows that exercising has health benefits, but why do we have such a hard time participating in daily exercise. We have no problem finding time for watching television, or getting caught up in just "relaxing" for the day.

Lately I have been reading about it (will share when I have more time) and hearing about it - what is considered being physically active?

We don't have to wait to join a gym, or schedule time to find ways to exercise. I think that's why people struggle with participating in daily exercise. I have a friend who roller-blades while walking her dog. When you go to the mall or shopping (which we all do often), try parking your car in the last parking space in the back of the lot. Of course, as long as it's safe. Take the stairs. Use your hand weights or jump rope while watching television, if you have to.

Either way we all have time for exercise. If we look, the opportunities will appear throughout the day.
